AutoCAD Designer/Drafter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CAD Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Review computer-generated shop drawings from the Draftsperson and make necessary corrections based on field measurements.
• Ensure all necessary information is collected for creating accurate bill-outs and material take-offs.
• Develop comprehensive bill-outs for cabinets, doors, drawers, and other components, highlighting specific production requirements.
• Create detailed material take-offs for countertops, specialty items, and moldings.
• Utilize software to optimize panel cutting for efficient production and minimize waste.
• Regularly review and purge old project files, transferring important information to electronic storage.
• Develop a library of core designs for recurring elements, organized by customer or functional application.
• Suggest improvements to work systems, software, and production processes to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in architectural woodworking or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Microvelume, Cutrite).
• Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and materials.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
