JOB SUMMARY:
To assist clerks and customers with bagging items purchased, collect shopping carts, and maintain general cleanliness of the store.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Bag the customers purchases
- Assist customers to their vehicles with their purchases
- Retrieve shopping carts from the parking lots and surrounding areas
- Maintain cleanliness of the checkstand area
- Maintain cleaning and bagging supplies in the checkstand area
- Return non-purchased items to their proper shelf location
- Assist customers with their questions
- Secure price verification for clerks
- Maintain routine sweeping of the sales floor
- Break down and collect cardboard boxes
- Handle clean-ups as required throughout the store
- Maintain routine sweeping of the sales floor
- Other related duties as required
- This position requires bending, twisting, stooping and lifting up to 50-lbs., as well as the ability to work continually on your feet.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Ability to read aisle makers, shelf tags and prices, and labels
- Must possess efficient hand-eye coordination and be able to perform basic math calculations
- Must maintain a sense of integrity
- A valid work permit if under the age of 18
