DEPARTMENT : Facility Maintenance
COMPENSATION :
Hourly Range : $30.83 - $35.50 This position is covered under the Teamster General Maintenance Agreement
JOB SUMMARY :
Testing / Assessment is required for this position
To maintain company facilities in a fully operational condition including maintaining a safe and accessible environment for employees and customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Trouble shooting electrical systems
Install, remove, and repair plumbing systems
Service, repair and replace equipment
Service of automatic door systems
Basic carpentry maintenance and repairs
Flooring installations, removal, and repair
Lock and finish hardware repairs
Light emergency roof, ceiling, and parking lot repairs
Must be available 24 hours for emergencies and available for shift work
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (CONT.) :
Maintain a sense of integrity
Participation in and completion of on-going safety training, equipment training and certifications as relating to job experience
Demonstrate a sense of urgency when servicing company needs
Attendance at trade group meetings as authorized by company
Good written and verbal communication skills
General Maintenance Technician I is expected to be able to perform all the duties of General Maintenance Laborer
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS :
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or equivalent
Five years of experience or equivalent education and training in facilities maintenance, and electrical systems, with emphasis on the maintenance of supermarket equipment
Applied knowledge of constructions trades; carpentry, plumbing, flooring and concrete
Valid California Driver License with clear driving record
