Job Summary:
The Senior Architectural Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the design and construction of documents for Retail, Commercial, and Industrial building projects. This includes meeting with external architects, consultants, internal stakeholders, and company executives to discuss development, design, entitlement, and documentation.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of architectural design, construction experience, and excellent communication skills. They should be able to translate organizational ideas into fully built design plans on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meeting with stakeholders to discuss project developments
- Drafting building plans for commercial and retail construction projects
- Preparing budgets, material documents, and specification lists
- Overseeing documentation preparation for architects, engineers, contractors, and construction crews
- Conducting site visits to ensure construction adheres to permitted plans
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and within specifications
- Contributing to progress reports, schedules, and revised budgets
- Conducting final inspections after project completion
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, design, or similar field
- Minimum ten years of experience in architecture, design, or similar field
- Valid California Driver's License with a good driving record
- Portfolio of completed commercial and retail projects (preferably with grocery market experience)
- Advanced knowledge of drafting software including AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to translate concepts into functional construction designs
- Advanced project-management skills
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders daily
- Knowledge of construction costs and time frames
- Understanding and interpreting of Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical plans
