What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Lead position at States HR CO LLC?
- Verification of product conformance to Company and Customer requirements including manufacturing plans, internal audits, policies, work instructions, quality records, specifications drawings, acceptance gages and tooling as stated on the process control plan.
- Perform all inspection and testing of in-process, first-piece, last piece and final inspection of finished products and raw materials.
- Effectively interact with production operators and production supervisors to adjust and trouble-shoot in-process products manufactured.
- Verify proper machine set up.
- Identify and notify production when non-conformance or process related problems arise.
- Perform product inspections, tests, and visual examinations as required by established test methods and procedures.
- Responsible for documenting non-conformances on appropriate forms and communicating non-conformances to QC.
- Responsible for maintaining entries of non-conformances.
- Responsible for maintaining QC Inspection logs and accuracy of same.
- Must ensure adherence to the quality control standards.
- Work closely with all team members to meet Company and customer requirements consistently.
- Identify raw material condition by collecting materials samples; conducting inspections and physical testing of materials.
- Identify in-process product condition by collecting samples during production process; conducting in-process inspections and physical tests.
- Conduct re-inspections to determine acceptability of rework.
- Document finished product status by recording and summarizing raw materials, in-process, and finished-product inspection and physical test data; updating quality assurance data base.
- Authority to “stop production” if product does not meet requirements.
- Lead the QC team and coordinate their daily activities to ensure optimum resource planning
- Carry out QC task as required ensuring that the QC function performs effectively
- Monitor the work standards across the QC functions. Ensure that jobs are carried out efficiently and paperwork is maintained accurately
- Provide a central point of communication for all departments in respect of product quality issues, ensuring that all information is cascaded to and from the QC team.
- Actively engage in problem solving and solution finding
- Report the need for corrective action to the Quality Manager when necessary
- Attend training activities as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement teams, as required.
- Participate in safety and OSHA training.
- Compliance with attached Safety Expectations.
- Accurate recording of time including time-clock, job activities, and other data entry.
- Regular and punctual attendance at work.
- Compliance with relevant policies, procedures and instructions, including Code of Conduct.
