Description
SUMMARY : Provides graders or batchers with veneer to be graded / batched and manages veneer inventories. Off loads and loads trucks, containers, and rail cars. Supplies lay-up with needed materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING :
- Drive forklift in a safe manner, at a quick pace
- Off loads trucks.
- Tag loads as they come off trucks and put them in warehouse.
- Basic computer skills, including frequent use of AX
- Keep up with general maintenance on forklift (daily forklift inspections).
- Able to support all graders achieving goal of 1800-2000 pieces per shift.
- Unload and load trucks according to procedure.
- Keep warehouse clean and organized.
- Must support the team in achieving all Safety, Production and Quality goals.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Able to read and understand batching list
- Understand orientation of veneer
- Band up completed batches
