The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across all processes, products, and services within the organization. This role involves overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems to drive continuous improvement, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. The Quality Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement, implement effective corrective actions, and foster a culture of quality, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight: Maintain and improve the ISO 9001:2015-certified Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ongoing compliance and effectiveness across the organization. Conduct periodic reviews and updates of the QMS documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and policies, to ensure they align with current operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales to understand customer quality requirements and ensure those are met through production and product design. Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure products are designed and manufactured to meet quality standards and customer specifications. Work with Procurement to manage supplier quality, ensuring that suppliers deliver materials that meet the companys standards and performance expectations. Engage with Production departments (Fabrication, Paint, Assembly, and Wiring) to ensure quality practices are integrated throughout the manufacturing process and assist with troubleshooting quality issues as they arise.
- Process Control & Improvement: Develop and implement control plans for critical production processes to monitor and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, defects, and inefficiencies, applying tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Supplier Quality Management: Assess and approve suppliers based on quality standards and performance metrics. Conduct supplier audits and address any quality issues with corrective actions, ensuring that materials and components consistently meet specifications. Non-Conformance & Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA):
- Non-Conformance & Corrective/Preventative Actions: Manage the Non-Conformance (NC) process, ensuring timely identification, documentation, and resolution of product or process deviations. Lead the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, ensuring that root causes of issues are identified, and corrective actions are effectively implemented to prevent recurrence.
- Inspection & Testing: Oversee the inspection process for incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with technical specifications and customer requirements. Coordinate testing and validation activities during the Fabrication, Paint, Assembly, and Wiring stages to confirm product conformance.
- Internal & External Audits: Lead internal audits of the QMS to ensure that processes comply with ISO 9001:2015 standards and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare and support external audits for ISO 9001:2015 certification, as well as customer-specific audits, ensuring continued certification and customer confidence.
- Customer Quality & Satisfaction: Handle customer complaints and quality-related inquiries, ensuring quick resolution and customer satisfaction. Analyze customer feedback and quality performance data to proactively address quality trends and improve product offers.
- Quality Metrics & Reporting: Develop and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of quality processes across the organization. Report on quality performance to senior management, highlighting trends, challenges, and areas requiring attention or improvement.
- Training & Development: Provide training to all production departments (Fabrication, Paint, Assembly, Wiring) on quality standards, procedures, and problem-solving techniques. Foster a culture of quality throughout the organization by encouraging continuous learning and development of quality skills across teams.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure the proper documentation of all quality records, including inspection reports, audit results, CAPA actions, and customer complaints, in compliance with ISO 9001:2015. Maintain records for traceability and accountability in case of audits or customer inquiries.

Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities).
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- ISO 9001:2015 implementation and management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience and understanding of lean manufacturing, manufacturing processes and QMS understanding.
- Knowledge of quality control techniques, including inspection, testing, and process control methods.
- Proficiency with root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, 8D).
- Supplier quality management experience, including conducting audits and addressing non-conformances.
- Ability to effectively lead and conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, customer audits).
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate quality standards and performance.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and quality management software tools (e.g., ERP systems, quality tracking software).
Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful)

- Additional certifications in quality methodologies such as Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing.
