The Water & Sewer Technician installs, repairs, and maintains water and sewer mains and lines.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Installs, maintains, and repairs water and sewer mains and lines;Operates a backhoe, trencher, front-end loader, and dump truck to install water and sewer services;Locates and repairs leaks in water and sewer lines;Makes water and sewer taps;Maintains wells; adds chemicals and performs preventive maintenance;Sets water meters;Performs preventive maintenance procedures on assigned equipment;Makes and repairs utility cuts necessitated by water and sewer repairs;Operates a boring machine to install water and sewer pipes;Flushes and cleans water and sewer lines;Answers emergency service calls as required;Sets barricades, cones, and warning signs at work sites;
