Essential Functions

Specific tasks, responsibilities or competencies may be documented in the incumbent’s performance objectives as outlined by the incumbent’s immediate supervisor or manager.
1. Safely operate a motor vehicle to deliver and pick-up various health care related items from designated couriers, pharmacies, and/or patient locations with a focus on providing a professional, safe, and timely level of delivery services.
2. Document acceptance of packages to be delivered to designated courier (i.e., FedEx) location.
3. Arrives at designed courier location by or prior to 8:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday) and 4:00 p.m. (Saturday) to pick-up and or drop-off courier packages.
4. Deliver, pick-up, and/or drop-off bins of courier packages and ensure appropriate scanning of each at the designated courier and/or pharmacy locations. Properly track and document activity log on mobile app.
5. Regularly load and unload light (10-20 lbs.) packages and bins of courier and/or pharmacy delivery items.
6. Immediately report any issues or incidents to dispatch by phone or electronically.
7. Follow and adhere to company processes and procedures to ensure timely and safe delivery and/or pick-up of courier packages.
8. Follows the safety program and adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
Marginal or Additional Functions
1. Adheres to all HIPAA protocols for patient privacy.
2. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent to support the achievement of the Company’s goals and objectives.
Supervisory and Managerial Responsibility
- This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must have a current state issued driver’s license, must be active and valid the last three consecutive years
- A confirmed driving motor vehicle record (MVR) successfully demonstrating no major violations in the past three consecutive years, no more than one preventable accident with one moving violation in past three years, no more than two minor violations with no at-fault accidents in the past three years.
- One year of previous delivery experience preferred
- The knowledge and ability to operate smart devices (e.g., smart phone, tablets), computers and hand held scanning devices are required
- The ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions is required to ensure accurate completion of deliveries and pick-ups.
- The ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient protected health information and follow standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with HIPAA is required.
- The ability to drive a motor vehicle in a safe manner is essential

Travel Requirements and Conditions
- Heavy daily local travel required to perform delivery and pick-up of courier items and healthcare items as described
Work Environment, Conditions and Demands
- Work is performed in the field and involves driving personal motor vehicle to make deliveries and pick-ups.
- On a very frequent basis (75%-100% of the time worked) courier delivery drivers are exposed to weather as a daily condition of the role.
- Environment conditions will vary based on the location of a delivery or pick-up, including but not limited to courier facilities, pharmacies, and patient homes.

- This role entails possible prolonged sitting (approximately 75% of the work shift) while driving a motor vehicle as described. The ability to regularly move in and out of the unload and load the vehicle as described is required.
- Must have the ability to lift light packages and bins (10-20 lbs.) to load and unload at designated locations.
- Regular eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity is required to operate smart devices.
