Ventures Endurance, a division of Gannett/USA Today Network, is seeking an experienced and motivated Merchandise Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the product life cycle of our participant swag and merchandise. This position will report to the, Associate Manager Sourcing and Merchandise
Merchandise Coordinator Responsibilities
The annualized base salary for this role will range between $43,000and $60,000. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
Merchandise Coordinator Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery, inventory, and organization of 200,000 units arriving at the warehouse.
- Coordinate fulfillment, shipment, and customer service for online merchandise orders, including exchanges and returns.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sourcing and Merchandise and team members to enhance the online store, serving a diverse customer base (participants, spectators, families, etc.).
- Stay informed about industry trends and consumer preferences across endurance and recreational event markets.
- Provide feedback on product samples, including design, sizing, and fit improvements.
- Assist with event preparations, including POS setup, product organization, and inventory management.
- Monitor the product production and shipping process, with a basic understanding of international logistics.
- Travel to events to manage onsite merchandise operations, interact with customers, and lead a team of volunteers.
- Travel Obligations ~30% annually Required.
- 1 year in a Product Planner.
- Product Line.
- Retail Operations or Event role.
- Previous experience with sport/performance soft goods a plus.
- Interest in the endurance event space and understanding of consumer interests within the industry.
- E-commerce experience preferred but not required.
- Proven attention to detail with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Ability to hold oneself accountable and an aptitude for prioritizing multiple projects.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and approach to managing projects and problem solving.
- Ability to forge interdepartmental relationships and build a strong team atmosphere. Ability to lift 50 lbs.
