Title: SIPA Grants Coordinator
Reports to: SIPA GovGrants Program Director
The Colorado Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA) is an independent governmental entity that provides digital government services to more than 1,000 government organizations across the state of Colorado. As a government that serves governments, one of SIPA’s primary activities is making grants that support civic technology and innovation for Colorado governments.
SIPA is seeking a collaborative and creative Grants Coordinator to support the management and administration of SIPA’s growing portfolio of grants. This position will specifically focus on the SIPA GovGrants Program, SIPA’s newest and largest grant program. The Coordinator will assist the SIPA GovGrants Program Director with all aspects of program operations, including grantee progress monitoring, data analysis, and program administration.
The successful candidate for this position will have a demonstrated commitment to supporting and enhancing public sector technology. Knowledge and experience with government procurement and a background in grant administration would be ideal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
The core duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Grantee Monitoring and Support
- Review grant progress reports and monitor for compliance with grant agreements, progress toward milestones, and adherence to approved budgets.
- Communicate with grantees to address questions, provide guidance and support around grant procedures, gather information and documentation, and remedy issues of non-compliance.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional support and guidance to grantees to improve project outcomes and overall program impacts.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Work with the Program Director to identify tools and methods to collect, organize, and analyze reported outcomes from grant-funded projects, with the overall goal of evaluating program effectiveness and generating insights to improve future grantmaking.
- Develop and generate reports and data visualizations on grantee performance, project outcomes, and overall program impact.
- Assist in the maintenance and development of SIPA’s Grants Portal and grants management application (within Salesforce), and identify opportunities for improvement in grant program data collection, grantee reporting, and other program structures and tools.
Grant Program Administration
- Assist in the development and maintenance of program guidelines, procedures, and documentation.
- Assist in the grant application review and evaluation process as needed.
- Coordinate with the Program Director on planning and execution of meetings, workshops, presentations, and other program-related events.
- Respond to inquiries from potential applicants, grantees, and other stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
General SIPA Activities
- Assist as needed with SIPA events, including webinars, workshops, and SIPA’s annual User Conference.
- Identify and pursue appropriate professional development opportunities related to the core functions of the role.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, technical or business-related field preferred, and a minimum of two years of related professional experience.
- An understanding of Colorado government, civic technology, and government grants and funding procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, anticipate problems, and make informed decisions.
- Analytical and problem solving skills, specifically the ability to understand and interpret complex data, use data to generate actionable insights, and present data in appropriate formats.
- Demonstrated adaptability, professionalism, motivation, and courtesy necessary to work as part of a small organization with a high degree of collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and communicate complex and technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Technically proficiency in a variety of business, data management, and reporting tools. Experience with Salesforce and Tableau highly preferred.
Salary Range:
The anticipated salary range is $60,000 to $80,000 commensurate with skills and experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time exempt professional position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Most days can be worked remotely if desired. This position may at times require hours beyond the operational hours stated above.
