Position Overview:

The Cake and Bubble Tea Store Barista and Assistant is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our café and bakery. You will be responsible for preparing and serving an array of beverages and cakes, assisting with daily operations, and creating a warm and inviting environment for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both bubble tea and baked goods, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellence in customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers with a warm, friendly demeanor and provide exceptional service throughout their visit.
• Take and accurately process customer orders for both bubble tea and cakes, including handling special requests and custom orders.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and answer any questions customers may have.
• Resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
• Barista Duties:
• Prepare and serve a variety of bubble tea beverages, including classic flavors, fruit infusions, and specialty drinks, with attention to quality and presentation.
• Operate bubble tea equipment, including tea brewers and bubble tea shaker following established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order and properly sanitized.
• Monitor inventory levels for tea, toppings, and other supplies, and assist with reordering as needed.
• Bakery Assistance:
• Assist in the preparation, presentation, and serving of cakes, pastries, and other baked goods, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality.
• Display baked goods attractively and ensure they are properly labeled and priced.
• Help with restocking displays and shelves throughout the day to ensure product availability.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Administrative and Operational Tasks:
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and register operations.
• Assist with daily opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down workstations and performing cleaning tasks.
• Keep accurate records of inventory levels and assist with stocktaking and ordering supplies.
• Follow health and safety regulations, including food safety practices, to ensure a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support colleagues during busy periods and assist with tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation.
• Health and Safety:
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of food and beverages.
• Ensure all equipment is used safely and is maintained in good condition.
• Follow procedures for cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred, but not required.
• Basic knowledge of bubble tea preparation and equipment is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to operate bubble tea equipment and handle bakery items.
• Capable of working in a busy environment with frequent interactions with customers and team members.
