Responsibilities

- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Engage with customers to promote products and upsell when appropriate.
- Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to enhance store appearance.
- Provide product demonstrations and answer customer inquiries regarding products.
- Supervise junior staff members during busy periods to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cash handling and retail sales is preferred.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Experience with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems and inventory management is beneficial.
