General Summary

procurement function. Primarily responsible for B and C level categories.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Purchase Orders
- Issues and edits purchase orders, manages reorder points, reconciles invoices with purchase orders in preparation for payment processing.
- Identifies and resolves potential purchasing problems, follows up to ensure timely and accurate product delivery.
- Optimizes freight expenses for cost and service
- Customer/Operational Support
- Maintains accurate expected delivery dates of PO line items in ERP Escalates late deliveries to management as needed.
- Assists in responding to customer
- Vendor Management
- Corresponds with suppliers for quotations, maintains contact with vendors regarding current status of purchase orders.
- Plans, develops, recommends, negotiates, and administers contracts and proposals; evaluates and awards bids and proposals with final approval of the Purchasing Manager.

- Inventory Management
- Maintains purchased goods inventory levels within target
- Maintains back orders at or below target
- Investigates inventory inaccuracies and works toward eliminating root
