General Objectives
Manage the compliance team to ensure our global organization adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and industry standards by developing and implementing corporate and trade compliance programs, identifying potential risks, training employees on compliance procedures, conducting investigations and advising management on compliance matters.
Responsibilities
Manage the compliance team to develop and implement corporate and trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations and codes of conduct.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Investigate potential violations of company policies and procedures.
Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on compliance requirements and best practices.
Stay informed about changes in trade regulations and proactively update internal policies and procedures accordingly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, supply chain, sales, business units and factories to resolve compliance-related issues and streamline processes.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs and initiatives and recommend improvements as necessary.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities and transactions.
Lead the function and create a culture of engagement and high performance, and guide your team members’ growth and career development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, international trade, supply chain management or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
Minimum 15 years of working experience with 10 years or more in trade compliance and at least 5 years in a management position.
In-depth knowledge of trade laws and regulations, including but not limited to customs regulations, export controls, sanctions and tariffs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and assess compliance risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
Experience with compliance audits and investigations is a plus.
Fluency in English and proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
