Stauffer Glove & Safety is looking for an experienced Buyer / Planner to join our team in Red Hill, Pennsylvania. This individual must be able to work effectively in a team environment and have exceptional problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.

Objective

The Buyer / Planner position is responsible for maintaining targeted inventory levels at assigned branch locations while also addressing and developing resolutions for shortages and overstock situations. This position requires close coordination with each facilities Branch Manager, Sales Support, Customer Service, Operations and Accounts Payable.

Essential Functions

Responsible for weekly warehouse transfers.

Responsible for warehouse inventory adjustment approvals.

Managing item re-order points to maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Identifying slow moving product and transferring this product to a more appropriate warehouse.

Identifying idle / dead product and coordinating the return of this product to the supplier.

Work with Accounts Payable and vendors to resolve receiving discrepancies.

Competencies

Respond to inquiries and questions in a timely fashion.

Ability to analyze data and strong attention to detail.

Strong typing and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in supply chain or business-related degree program; or equivalent combination of education and experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in a supply chain or international logistics (import) and domestic transportation experience.

Possess a solid understanding of supply chain concepts and system.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
