Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Robotics/Coding Instructor to join our team in the McFarland, CA area. As a Robotics/Coding Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching playpiper computer assembling classes to students in grades 3rd-6th. Your role will involve creating an exciting and supportive atmosphere where students can explore their creativity and develop their technical and artistic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and deliver engaging lessons for students in grades 3-6
- Teach students how to design, build, and program computers while incorporating artistic elements
- Introduce students to basic computer building principles and programming languages
- Encourage and support students in their technical and artistic development
- Ensure the safety and proper use of robotics kits and materials
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Set up and clean up the classroom or robotics area before and after classes
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Provide feedback on students' progress and areas for improvement
- Promote a love for robotics, technology, and the arts
Qualifications:
- Passion for teaching and working with children (grades K-8)
- Experience in robotics, engineering, art, or a related field
- Familiarity with robotics kits and programming languages suitable for K-8 students
- Previous teaching experience, especially in an after-school or enrichment setting, is preferred
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check via online/live scan
- Availability December 17-19, 2024
Details:
Wage: 25/hour
Job Type: Part-Time
Availability: December 17-19 from 8am - 5pm
Additional Incentives and Perks:
- 5 days/week: $300 bonus per season (Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions)
- 3 days/week: $150 bonus per season (Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions)
