POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Enhancement Crew Leader is to oversee, direct, and execute enhancement projects efficiently while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position requires leadership, supervision, and training of crew members to achieve project success and exceed client expectations.
EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
- The Enhancement Crew Leader must have at least one year of experience leading crews in landscape enhancement projects. A valid Class "C" California Driver’s License is required, while a Class "B" is preferred.
- The ideal candidate should have experience in softscape and hardscape installations, plant material knowledge, irrigation system adjustments, and enhancement-related construction.
- Knowledge of irrigation basics (heads, pipe) and advanced irrigation (valves).
- Ability to read plans and execute projects accordingly.
- Time captures and approvals for accurate reporting.
- On-the-job training and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong team leadership skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, including:
- Blower, Edger, Hand tools, Hedge Trimmer, String Trimmer, Pole Pruner
- Gas-powered hand tools, Chainsaw, Electric-powered hand tools
- Stand-on Skid Steer, Heavy equipment (by piece)
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Project Execution & Leadership
- Oversee and execute enhancement projects efficiently, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
- Implement and enforce company policies, safety procedures, and quality control measures related to landscape enhancement.
- Direct, train, and support crew members, ensuring proper techniques in planting, irrigation, and hardscape installation.
- Assist the Associate Enhancement Production Manager in job site evaluations, material ordering, and project planning.
- Recommend and present extra work/work orders based on site conditions and client needs.
- Safety & Compliance
- Uphold and promote all safety standards outlined in SGI’s policies and OSHA regulations.
- Report any employee injuries or liability claims immediately to the Associate Enhancement Production Manager and Human Resources.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to enhancement projects.
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory compliance related to landscape enhancement.
- Customer Service & Communication
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with clients, addressing concerns and inquiries promptly.
- Respond to requests from other departments within 24 hours or sooner when possible.
- Work collaboratively with the Associate Enhancement Production Manager to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
- Offer assistance to co-workers during peak workload periods.
- Professional Conduct & Teamwork
- Maintain an excellent attendance record and follow sick, rain day, and vacation procedures.
- Wear the appropriate uniform and PPE, ensuring personal hygiene and keeping work areas organized.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and cooperation among employees.
- Represent Stay Green Inc. professionally in all interactions with clients, vendors, and the community.
- Maintain organizational and employee confidentiality.
EDUCATION & RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of landscaping experience, with a focus on enhancements and landscape construction (Required).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in landscape enhancement (Required).
- Valid Driver’s License (Required).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
