POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Irrigation Technician is to maintain, repair, and install irrigation systems efficiently and in compliance with California state regulations. The Irrigation Technician will oversee assigned field jobs, support Crew Leaders and Production Managers, and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and production standards. This position requires adherence to all applicable labor, environmental, and workplace safety laws, including OSHA and California water conservation regulations.

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
· Minimum of two (2) years of experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair.
· Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s License with a safe driving record that meets insurance requirements.
· Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently, meet critical deadlines, and apply technical knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance practices.
· Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
· Knowledge of California water conservation laws and irrigation best practices is a plus.
· Familiarity with Cal/OSHA safety standards related to landscaping and irrigation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A. Job Performance and Compliance
· Adhere to and enforce Cal/OSHA safety regulations and company policies.
· Promptly report employee injuries or liability claims to the Production Manager (PM) and Human Resources.
· Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of irrigation systems, ensuring compliance with California water efficiency standards.
· Read and interpret irrigation schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
· Assist the Production Manager in evaluating job quality and recommending additional work as needed.
B. Customer Service Excellence
· Investigate and resolve complaints within 24 hours or on the same business day when feasible.
· Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external requests within 24 hours.
· Foster a team-oriented work environment, proactively assisting coworkers when necessary.
· Maintain professional and courteous interactions with clients, vendors, and team members.
C. Compliance with Company Code of Conduct
· Immediately report any suspected or potential violations of California labor laws, environmental laws, or company policies.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
· Maintain awareness of California and federal employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, anti-discrimination laws, and workplace safety requirements.
D. Professionalism and Workplace Conduct
· Maintain excellent attendance, following procedures for sick days, rain days, and vacation requests.
· Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and company uniform at all times.
· Keep company vehicles, tools, and worksites clean and organized.
· Represent Stay Green Inc. positively in the community and among industry professionals.
· Maintain confidentiality regarding company operations and employee matters.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or GED (required).
· Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) or related certification (preferred but not required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Frequently required to:
