Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, dog handling skills, dog walking skills, computer literacy, and proficiency in Google and word. Handling check-in and check-out processes for daily drop off's for our doggie daycare and boarders for dog kenneling. Contacting vets, owners of pets, handling high stressful situations and maintaining a safe environment for all pets coming into the facility.
Duties
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls to appropriate personnel.
- Schedule grooming appointments, boarding reservations, and efficiently using our current software to monitor dogs that board at our facility.
- Walking, leashing, and handling of all dog breeds and sizes.
- Preparing paperwork, entering all data/ belongings to each pet's file.
- Ensure the front desk area is tidy and presentable at all times.
- Provide support to kennel / daycare staff as needed, including food prep, dishwashing, laundry keep up, walking dogs back to reserved kennels.
- Navigating the check-in and check-out processes.
- Handle boarding and daycare inquiries, giving clients well detailed tours of the facility.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role.
- Experience in handling/walking all sizes and breeds of dogs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent computer literacy and familiarity with office equipment.
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently while being part of a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
