The BRAND NEW STAYBRIDGE SUITES in Clermont, FL is opening soon and looking to hire a Housekeeping Manager to manage the Housekeeping Department. We are looking for a reliable, mature, responsible person with great attention to detail to lead the team. This position is directly responsible for overseeing a staff of 8-10 housekeepers, 3 laundry attendants and housemen. This position requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays depending on the hotel demands.

This position will be responsible for but not limited to:
Supervising all housekeeping employees while planning the work for the housekeeping department and distributing assignments.
Assisting the AGM with training and directing housekeeping and laundry staff, including performance reviews.
Creating/Reviewing the schedule for room and laundry associates based on occupancy.
Supervising the work activities of Room and Laundry Associates.
Training new employees (rooms and laundry). Ensuring employees meet training requirements set by the brand and property.
Monitoring housekeeping and laundry times/standards/labor daily.
Performing daily room inspections of all rooms. Reporting items in need of repair to maintenance and the GM as appropriate.
Keeping an accurate inventory of linen, terry, room supplies, and cleaning supplies. Submit order as needed to GM.
Coordinating and documenting the Deep Clean Program and preventative maintenance schedule with housekeepers and maintenance department.
Cleaning guest rooms, public areas, back of house, and perform laundry duties, including moving furniture as needed.
Cleaning halls, laundry area, vending area, lobby, meeting room and breakfast bar area as needed.
Communicating effectively with the GM and front desk on room status.
Ensuring that carts are clean, organized, and restocked for the next day.
Responsible for complying with all company safety and security policies.
Performing any other duties as required by the job and the GM.
Must be in neat, clean provided uniform and name tag, while assuring that the supervised staff in also in compliance.
Knowledge of and able to communicate the IHG 5 Ways of Clean and IHG Deep Clean programs to staff. Training will be provided.
Attending Department meetings.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Possess general housekeeping skills to provide Guests with a clean and well- maintained room.
Familiarity with Opera, Merlin, and Quore are a plus.
Ability to communicate in a clear professional manner.
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Ability to work scheduled hours and be on time.
Ability to lead by example while being hospitable to the public.
Basic math skills
Fluent in verbal skills and written communications in English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to move from guest room to guest room with exposure to the extremes of the climate of the location. Ability to clean floors and hard to reach areas by hand.
NECK – Bending and twisting on occasion
AUDITORY - Ability to read and comprehend emergency and security information including labels and directions. Ability to communicate emergency situations to supervisor in English. Normal conversation.
HEARING - Ability to hear emergency alarms, telephone, conversation.
VISION - Legal normal vision with or without accommodation.
ARMS - Reaching, bending arms, light carrying, pushing, and pulling.
