Housekeeping Attendant –
Staybridge Suites Clermont Southeast is opening in June of 2025 and looking for people who are genuine, friendly, thoughtful and resourceful. People who care enough to go the extra mile to give our guests a great experience.
Staybridge Suites Clermont Southeast is located at 3440 S US Highway 27, Clermont, FL. Our focus service hotel is looking for housekeeping attendants to join our busy and professional team and be part of an amazing hotel opening. Ideally, you'll have some prior experience in a hotel environment, be able to demonstrate initiative and be someone who has the reputation for delivering great service and being fun to work with.
Essential Job Functions
As a Room Attendant/Housekeeper, you’ll make sure the hotels’ rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for guests.
- Maintain a clean and well stocked cart
- Completely service guest rooms in 30 minutes (15 minutes for Stayovers) or less according to hotel standards.
- Clean floors, walls, and all other surfaces using specified chemicals and equipment and other duties/tasks as assigned
- Change Linen, and make beds following IHG 5 Ways of Clean requirements
- Move furniture.
- Operate Vacuum.
- Record room status on Room Assignment Sheet and/or Quore Cleaning Plus App.
- Place guest supplies in guest rooms.
- Empty and clean garbage cans.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Relay maintenance information to designated parties.
- Report, turn in, and/or log all lost and found items according to established procedures.
- Must be in neat, clean uniform with name tag.
- Awareness of the 5 Ways of Clean Program.
- Follow all policies & procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Follow all IHG Brand Standards, company policies and procedures.
- Follow “deep clean” procedures as assigned.
General Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend emergency and security information, including labels and directions.
- Ability to communicate emergencies to supervisor in English.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work scheduled laundry hours, including some evening hours.
- Maintain a professional attitude to all Guests, associates, and vendors.
Work Environment & Other
- Ability to move from guest room to guest room with exposure to the extremes of the climate of the location.
- Ability to clean floors and hard to reach areas by hand.
NECK – Bending and twisting
AUDITORY - Ability to read and comprehend emergency and security information including labels and directions. Ability to communicate emergency situations to supervisor in English. Normal conversation.
HEARING - Ability to hear emergency alarms, telephone, conversations.
VISION - Legal normal vision with or without accommodation.
ARMS - Reaching, bending arms, light carrying, pushing, pulling.
HANDS - Finger dexterity, grasping
TRUNK - Bending and twisting
LEGS - Normal balance, crouching or kneeling
FEET – Walking and standing for the duration of the shift
