Join the IHG team as a Housekeeper for a career in hospitality. Staybridge Suites, an award-winning IHG Hotel, is looking for hotel housekeepers to join our hotel operations team! Full-Time & Part-Time positions are available. As a Housekeeper, your contribution helps ensure guests an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
As a Housekeeper, you will:
- Clean, dust, polish and vacuum to make sure guest rooms and bathrooms meet hotel standards.
- Change linens, make beds, and leave the bathroom sparkling.
- Restock all guest room supplies, like soap and shampoo.
- Organize your linen closet, restock your cart, and get ready for the next day, before your shift ends each day.
- Greet guests that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile.
Fundamentals
This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25-30 pounds. You will also lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must also be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
Duties:
- Clean and maintain guest rooms
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and toiletries
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste materials properly
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors
- Restock supplies such as soap, shampoo, and toilet paper
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and guest satisfaction
Skills:
- Housekeeping management: Ability to efficiently manage time and resources to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Hospitality: Understanding the importance of providing excellent customer service to hotel guests
- Custodial: Familiarity with general custodial duties such as cleaning windows, walls, and fixtures
- Clean: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
- Hotel: Knowledge of hotel operations and the specific needs of guests in a hospitality setting
