Job Summary:
The Breakfast Attendant at Staybridge Suites Knoxville West is responsible for preparing, setting up, maintaining, and cleaning the hotel’s complimentary breakfast buffet while ensuring a welcoming and pleasant dining experience for all guests. This role is key in delivering the high-quality service and hospitality that guest expect from a Hotel by IHG.
Guest Service & Hospitality:
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with any requests.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor the breakfast area to ensure it remains clean, stocked, and inviting.
Food Preparation & Presentation:
- Prepare and set up the complimentary breakfast buffet according to brand and health standards.
- Ensure food items are fresh, properly displayed, and replenished throughout service hours.
- Monitor food temperatures and follow safety protocols for handling and storage.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Keep the breakfast area clean and organized, including tables, counters, and beverage stations.
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment after breakfast service.
- Follow sanitation and hygiene guidelines to maintain a safe food environment.
Inventory & Supplies:
- Monitor inventory levels of breakfast supplies and prepare orders for management when restocking is needed.
- Follow IHG brand standards and health regulations when handling food and beverages.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Drug screening required
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (training provided).
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
