Position Summary: Working under the direction of the Front Desk Manager, Front Desk Supervisor, and General Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a unique guest experience by executing brand standards, fostering guest relations, and promoting IHG Rewards.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Returns:
- Responsible for managing cash drawer contents and transactions.
- Maintain accurate records, including cash flow and revenue.
People:
- Work as part of a team to ensure guests feel valued and receive the highest level of customer service.
Guest Experience:
- Respond to guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage cash bank accounting and revenue records.
- Stock items for the front desk and back office.
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
- Handle confidential information with integrity.
- Answer and route calls appropriately; take accurate guest messages and handle fax needs.
- Offer and manage wake-up call requests.
- Record pertinent guest information in the front desk log.
- Ensure common areas, the lobby, and back office are clean.
- Perform laundry functions as directed.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Responsible Business:
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests.
- Comply with federal, state, and local laws regarding alcohol services.
- Maintain procedures for the security of lost and found items.
- Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
Accountability:
- Collaborate with all departments in a professional and dependable manner.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of hotel layout, amenities, procedures, and organization.
- Familiarity with the local geographic area, businesses, services, major highways/streets, and community events/attractions.
- Ability to communicate effectively using appropriate word choice, grammar, and tone.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to fold or clean laundry.
- Competence in basic math and other clerical skills.
