GENERAL PURPOSE Provide support and direction to maintenance staff, complete any associated paperwork required within group and provide regular status updates of repair activity to Maintenance Manager. Responsible for all general building maintenance and repairs, trouble shoot and perform repairs on manufacturing machinery as necessary. Oversee and directs subcontractor activity, communicate project requirements, and signs off on work completed. Inspect and review completed work to ensure it is performed to our satisfaction prior to sign off.
Assist and or perform preventative maintenance on building mechanicals as well as machinery requiring specialized skill set that is outside the machine operator’s capability.
Essential Job Functions
Coordinates activities of maintenance staff, leveraging the proper skill set of each employee required for successful and timely project completion.
Collaborates with staff and department managers to ensure we are providing adequate support and solutions that support business needs.
Supplies proper requisitions and completes any paperwork associated with position.
Performs timely performance reviews and provides regular performance feedback to direct reports.
Identifies and performs necessary repairs and potential problems related to the safe operation of manufacturing facilities.
Defines and ensures standard daily work is performed to expectation.
Defines and communicates expectations to direct reports for daily work and all projects.
Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommends measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
Provides training and shares knowledge as necessary for the growth of staff; fosters and encourages an environment for team to succeed.
Schedules, performs, and directs repair and maintenance required on building to ensure continuous operation of the facility.
Ensures that workspace, machinery and tools are clean, organized and meet all safety requirements.
Provides and ensures general supplies are available and accessible to cleaning staff.
Provide weekend and overtime coverage as schedule demands.
Qualifications
Performs other job duties as assigned.
Must have at least 2 years of experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting
Minimum Of 4 Years Supervisory Experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with general building electrical, mechanical, general carpentry, building maintenance/repair, and machine mechanical aptitude.
Must have general knowledge of PLC trouble shooting and programming.
Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Must be familiar with safety standards including LOTO.
Must have working knowledge and experience with building electrical systems.
Must have basic computer skills (email, word processing, etc.)
Must have the ability to complete, organize, maintain and file paperwork.
Must have the ability to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
Must be able to collaborate and lead a team, conflict resolution skills, good organization and prioritization ability.
Must have the ability to create, present, and maintain annual and project based budgets.
Must be reliable and dependable.
Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
