What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Supervisor position at Staybridge Suites?
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department in the Executive Housekeeper's absence.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met
- Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective communication and collaboration
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as necessary
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards
- Address guest concerns or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and effectively
- Maintain records and reports related to housekeeping activities, including staffing, inventory, and maintenance issues
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a housekeeping management role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, including floor care, custodial duties, and industrial cleaning practices
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service
- Proficient in using computer software for scheduling, reporting, and inventory management
