Export Operations Coordinator - Air

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Export Coordinator to manage and facilitate the export process of goods. This role is crucial in ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and comply with all regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong logistical skills and a thorough understanding of export documentation and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage air and ocean export shipments from booking through final delivery
• Prepare and process all necessary export documentation (AWB, B/L, commercial invoices, etc.)
• Coordinate bookings directly with steamship lines and airlines
• Ensure compliance with TSA, AES filing, and all export regulations
• Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, and overseas agents
• Manage multiple files and timelines in a fast-paced environment
• Proactively identify and resolve shipment issues
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Support overall team operations with a focus on customer satisfaction and compliance

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Must have prior experience working for an NVOCC or Freight Forwarder
• Minimum 2 years of export operations experience in air operations
• Solid understanding of export documentation and procedures
• Familiarity with AES Filing, TSA regulations, and hazmat documentation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage varying workloads independently
• Positive communication style and a customer-first mindset
• Hazmat Certification a plus, but not required
• Experience with freight consolidation and routing preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
