Job Description
The Regional Marketing Specialist is responsible for providing strategic and tactical support for regional marketing and community engagement programs, including brand marketing sponsorship activations, local partner program management, event coordination and implementing marketing campaigns and promotions in support of the organization’s strategic initiatives to drive member growth and deepen relationships in our Spokane County markets.
Core Job Requirements/Outcomes
- Coordinate brand marketing events and sponsorships by leading all aspects of local activations including coordinating communication with local partners and key stakeholders, coordinating marketing materials and promotional items, managing staff support and serving as the liaison for STCU and Brand Marketing in the local community.
- Identify opportunities for brand awareness, membership growth, and community engagement while making recommendations for regional marketing support by partnering with local leadership and staff, including retail and business partners as well as Community Impact and Advocacy colleagues.
- Support the implementation of marketing campaigns and promotions in new and existing markets by leading regional marketing communications, providing training and education, and providing feedback on campaign performance and member experience.
Other Essential Functions
- Serve as a key brand ambassador in the regional market representing our “Here for good” brand promise and core values, including serving on designated boards and committees.
- Develop and manage local media relationships to support community programs and strengthen brand awareness.
- Represent Brand Marketing on regional marketing initiatives and project teams, including new market entry and branch openings.
- Manage marketing deliverables in Asana for project management and ensure deliverables meet expected timelines.
- Provide training and financial education as needed in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and key stakeholders.
- Track campaign performance and recommend adjustments as needed to meet objectives.
- Ensure deliverables meet brand guidelines and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration (or actively pursuing degree), or equivalent work experience required.
Job Experience Minimum three years’ experience in marketing/advertising/public relations or related role required. Previous financial experience preferred.
Software Skills Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, databases and modern enterprise video communications.
Physical Demands Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time, with extended periods during presentations, benefit fairs, workshops, etc. Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 50 pounds.
Other Skills Must be creative and detail oriented with high level of organization skills to meet deadlines. Ability to adapt to changes and manage competing priorities.
Work Conditions Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Travel Demands Must have a reliable vehicle for travel to current and future STCU locations and ability to work early mornings, late evenings and occasional weekends.
Other Perform additional duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the department and the organization. This includes the possibility of being assigned temporarily to other locations.
