POSITION TITLE: Regional Sales Manager
Reports to: Director of Sales
Region: Midwest
Territory: IN, OH, MI, KY, WV. & Western PA
- Expand your professional portfolio as a Hackney - Regional Sales Representative with our growing clients in the Midwest region. As the Regional Sales Manager, you will have direct sales responsibility within your region. You will be responsible for new business growth, sales quota, and developing a loyal customer base through direct and channel selling to achieve sales forecast targets. The ideal candidate should have a hunter’s mentality and demonstrate strong prospecting, negotiating, and closing skills working both independently and as part of a team. This is a field-based, home-office, outside sales position within your assigned region of responsibility, the candidate must have access to a major airport within the Midwest Region, 40 miles or less preferred. This position provides a base salary and an unlimited commission plan. (Avg. Salary & Commissions = $175k to $225K) You must live within your assigned sales territory.
Scope of Position / Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic plan to grow sales and margin within an assigned region for all Hackney products.
- Prospect new business by conducting research to identify key decision-makers and influencers within assigned sales territory.
- Manage sales and opportunity pipeline including expected revenue, probability of a win, sales strategy, and identification of key decision-makers.
- Educate prospects and customers on features, benefits, and value proposition of our products as it relates to the growth and sustainability of their business.
- In-person and remote communication directly with executive-level decision-makers and influencers.
- Work closely with engineering, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure the best customer experience possible.
- Attends trade shows and conventions to represent the Hackney product line in a professional manner.
- Ability to travel as needed within your assigned territory following corporate travel policies.
- Ability to use sales tools, organize, accurately forecast territory results, provide market intelligence, implement value selling, and meet sales objections.
- Overall ownership of all sales and account management efforts within the region.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education.
- Minimum of five (5) years outside sales experience with excellent prospecting, negotiating, and closing skills.
- Proven track record in new business development with excellent listening, communication, and customer relation skill sets.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of light and medium-duty commercial truck equipment, full-service lease, body manufacturing, or OEM chassis sales.
- Experience as a manufacturer’s outside sales representative and distribution channel manager a definite plus.
- Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving aptitude.
- Advanced sales training certifications.
- Salesforce CRM.

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
