What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Maintenance Account Manager position at Steadfast Alliance?
The Account Manager is responsible for:
Teamwork and Employee Development:
Foster a working relationship with Foreman that is based on trust and teamwork.
Responsible for instilling and ensuring that Foreman understand and adhere to our culture, work standards and employee policy as stated in the our Handbook (reference any handbook and standards materials).
Indentify personnel and equipment needs. Elevate needs to Branch Manager.
Indentify personnel training needs. Execute training needs through conversation, literature or “in the field” training (all three are recommended).
Recruit, hire and develop maintenance team.
Foster a “Safety First” attitude. Safety being paramount to work performed.
Ability to hold employees accountable based on performance guidelines and general rules of conduct.
Customer Service:
Instill customer confidence.
Interact with clients / customers on a routine basis (minimum weekly).
Communicate, both written and verbal, with the customer with regard to maintenance and enhancement work.
Provide support / guidance to employees when working on client projects.’
Be able to effectively implement and communicate contract documents.
Be able to effectively identify and communicate Horticulture principles and practices as related to our industry.
Foster a working relationship with interdepartmental services company wide (mainly irrigation and pest/fert).
Job / Quality Standards:
Ensure that contract documents are implemented in an effective, timely and profitable manner.
Manage and oversite of Foreman and work performed by Foreman.
Support crew needs with regard to work standards, equipment and personnel needs and training needs.
Identify site enhancement work, propose to client and if approved implement work in a timely, precise and profitable manner.
Work directly with administrative staff with regard to contract obligations.
Maintains standards and ensures quality.
Provide insight to management with regard to potential contractural growth opportunity, as well as providing insight on any current contract issues / problems.
Represent the company in professional group settings.
Maintain active knowledge of trends in the Horticulture industry that effect operations.
Ensure safety on the job site.
Ensure an organized work space.
Qualifications and Experience:
Strong communication skills in English (verbal, written, and reading comprehension)
BS degree in Horticulture or related field a plus
Able to develop employee and client relationships
Hands on approach to task management, employee and customer interaction
Ability to be a self-starter. Able to work productively without direct supervision or interaction
Strong time management and organizational skills
Computer skills – Microsoft Suite, Quickbooks
Responsive to client’s needs and requests
Bi-lingual a plus (Spanish)
FCHP and BMP certified a plus
Professional demeanor and appearance
Proven leadership abilities with organized and structured approach to crew supervision

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
