We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Precertification Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in helping patients receive timely care by obtaining insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for medical services.

Responsibilities:
- Request and follow up on insurance pre-authorizations for procedures, tests, and referrals
- Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients to confirm coverage and authorization status
- Document all communications and authorizations accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Track pending authorizations and ensure timely follow-up
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to coordinate care
- Verify insurance benefits when necessary
- Stay up-to-date on insurance requirements and pre-certification processes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 year of experience in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes strongly preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable using EHR systems and general office software (Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
No weekends required!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
