Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mitigation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring properties affected by water, fire, mold, and other disasters. You will work closely with clients to ensure their homes and businesses are returned to a safe and clean condition. The ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry and possess a strong work ethic along with a commitment to quality service.
Duties
- Perform water damage restoration, including extraction and drying processes.
- Conduct fire restoration tasks, including cleaning soot and smoke damage.
- Execute mold remediation procedures to ensure safe environments.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various restoration tasks.
- Clean carpets and other surfaces as part of the restoration process.
- Build and repair structures as needed during the restoration process.
- Follow safety protocols, especially during asbestos abatement operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Document all work performed and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Skills
- Experience with hand tools and power tools relevant to restoration tasks.
- Knowledge of mold remediation processes and safety measures.
- Familiarity with asbestos abatement protocols is a plus.
- Understanding of the restoration industry standards for water damage restoration and fire restoration.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in challenging situations.
