Our client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee
production operations.
The Production Manager will manage various manufacturing processes,
ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
The Production Manager will lead a team of up to 8 direct reports, with
a strong focus on fostering a safety-driven culture, continuous
improvement, and collaborative leadership.
Responsibilities :
Safety, Health, Environment :
- Lead by example to ensure a strong safety culture is developed and
supported.
Ensure full conformance to EMS (Environmental Management System)requirements.
Promote safety initiatives, conduct safety training, ensure strictadherence to safety protocols.
Production Management :
Oversee the day-to-day operations ensuring efficient andhigh-quality production.
Coordinate schedules to meet demands ensuring optimal productivityand on-time delivery.
Monitor production metrics ensure compliance with quality standards.Team Leadership :
Lead, develop, and mentor a team focused on safety, performance,professional development.
Drive team engagement and coaching to ensure the team meetproduction and safety goals.
Encourage open communication, collaboration, and critical thinkingwithin the team.
Process Optimization :
Identify, implement process improvements reduce waste, improvequality enhance efficiency.
Troubleshoot, resolve equipment issues, coordinating withmaintenance to minimize downtime.
Implement best practices and standard operating procedures tooptimize performance
Quality Assurance :
Collaborate with quality control that production meets qualitystandards and specifications.
Conduct regular confirmations, address issues immediately ensurecorrective actions are taken.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the qualitycontrol processes.
Inventory Management :
Oversee raw material and finished goods inventory levels, tomaintain supplies for production.
Work closely with supply chain team to optimize inventory.Manage costs, including labor, materials, and supplies, ensuringbudget adherence.
Requirements
BS degree in Engineering, Business or relatedProven experience in extrusion, coating or film production processesor similar process
Strong leadership and communications skills with experience managingteams
Commitment to fostering a safety-first culture and drive continuousimprovement.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eyefor operational efficiency.
Proficiency in production planning, inventory management, andquality management systems.
Solid experience with lean tools, Six Sigma, and / or other problemsolving tools.
