Job Title: Operations Associate (Contract)

Location: Somerville MA

Contract Duration: 3-6 months, with the possibility of extension

Work Schedule: Flexible; minimum 3 days per week, during normal business hours (9 AM - 5 PM)

Pay Rate: $21 - $25 per hour, based on experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and organized Operations Associate to join our team. This is a contract position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic lab environment. The Operations Associate will manage essential day-to-day operations tasks, including shipping, receiving, and hardware setup. In addition to these general duties, the successful candidate will lead a small team responsible for a key data collection operation within our office.

This position offers flexible working hours and a chance to contribute to both operational efficiency and technical projects in a growing, innovative lab.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Operations:
• Manage shipping and receiving tasks, including logging inventory and ensuring timely delivery.
• Assist in setting up hardware and equipment for various robotics and AI projects.
• Support the daily operational needs of the lab and help maintain a smooth workflow.

• Team Leadership & Data Collection:
• Lead a small team in organizing and executing data collection processes.
• Collaborate with the lab’s technical staff to ensure that all data collection protocols are followed accurately.
• Provide guidance, track progress, and troubleshoot issues related to the data collection project.

• Administrative Support:
• Maintain logs and reports for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Monitor supplies and ensure the lab is stocked with necessary equipment.
• Assist with office coordination and other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to lead and motivate a small team to complete tasks efficiently.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with robotics and AI equipment.
• Basic technical aptitude and the ability to handle hardware setups.
• Good communication skills to work across teams and departments.
• Prior experience in operations, shipping/receiving, or a similar field is a plus.
• High school diplmoa or equivalent.

Compensation:

• Pay rate: $21 - $25 per hour, depending on previous experience.
• Flexible hours (minimum of 3 days per week) with core availability during standard business hours (9 AM - 5 PM).
• Initial contract duration: 4-6 months, with an option for extension depending on company needs and performance.
