1 environments, to build the Software Quality team, testing and automation infrastructure, and CI / CD pipeline for Future Programs. You will work in a fast paced, dynamic environment on every stage of program development from concept to launch and have a key voice in developing the practices, culture, and testing principals of our growing team. This role is highly cross functional, working with systems engineering, software, and other validation teams. Ideal candidates will bring experience from working on safety-critical hardware products and bringing up hardware-in-the-loop automation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Future Programs Software QA team, collaborating closely with product, hardware, software, commercial, innovation, and manufacturing engineering teams to validate and deliver high-performance, industry-leading next gen products.
- As the first-in Software QA hire, you will evaluate project needs in order to build a high performance team, stand up automation infrastructure, develop clear testing processes, and ultimately meet program reliability and timeline requirements.
- Leverage your leadership and people management experience to assess, hire, and effectively manage a high velocity, growing team.
- Use excellent technical judgment to develop the project’s strategic direction and prioritization, determining when to automate tests, balancing testing needs across multiple software surfaces (device, mobile, cloud), and prioritizing critical coverage during early bring-up stages.
- Evaluate technical options and bring up infrastructure to support CI / CD automation, module and system level Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing, simulators, mobile automation, supporting with manual testing as appropriate.
- Leveraging field analytic pipelines, drive continuous monitoring and improvements.
