Job Description
The role requires expertise in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), specifically with DoDAF, SysML methodologies, Cameo/Magic Draw, Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORs), and Agile Methods. As a team lead within the SEIT Resource Management Area, you will be responsible for leading MBSE teams, maintaining accurate metrics, supporting staffing responsibilities, and ensuring high-quality products are generated on time.
Must have an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 14 years of increasingly responsible Systems Engineering roles in the development, integration and support of large-scale software intensive systems.
- A Master's degree and 12 years of relevant experience may be substituted.
Required Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in various programming languages (e.g., Java, C , Python), understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration principles are crucial for a Systems Engineer.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze complex problems, develop effective solutions, and implement them efficiently is essential in the role. This includes troubleshooting issues that may arise during development or deployment of large-scale software systems.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills are necessary for managing resources, timelines, and budgets effectively while ensuring successful delivery of projects within agreed-upon constraints.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are important for collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to understand requirements, document solutions, and present findings or progress reports clearly and concisely. Additionally, the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a way that non-technical team members can easily comprehend is highly valued.

In addition to the required skill list above, the ideal candidate will have some level of familiarity with the following:
- Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures
- Reviewing the content and details of technical products
- Acting as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis
- Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development including iteration planning and status
