Job Summary:
Steamboys Restaurant is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front of House Team Member to join our team. As the face of our restaurant, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing friendly service, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and working efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm, positive attitude as they arrive at Steamboys Restaurant.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all preferences and special requests are communicated to the kitchen team.
- Serve food and beverages with enthusiasm, adhering to Steamboys’ quality and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables, resetting stations, and ensuring all front-of-house spaces are tidy.
- Process payments using the restaurant’s POS system, handling cash and card transactions with accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service, assisting with tasks like refilling drinks or running food as needed.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, concerns, or feedback to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Stay knowledgeable about the Steamboys menu, including daily specials, to assist guests with recommendations or questions.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Support the team during busy periods by multitasking and adapting to changing priorities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer-facing role is preferred but not required—on-the-job training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling light physical tasks (e.g., carrying trays, clearing tables).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant hours.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Passion for delivering great customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
