STEM Teacher MS/HS

Job Description

Plant City Christian Academy in Plant City, Florida, is seeking a qualified and motivated STEM educator for 2025-2026. This person will inspire and instruct Middle and High School students, specifically in the areas of Mathematics and Science. As the founding leader in our STEM department, this individual will set the foundation for academic excellence in Math and Science at PCCA.

Experience

• Proven experience as a MS or HS Teacher for 3 years
• Strong experience in STEM subjects, specifically in Mathematics and Science
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with parents, students, and staff
• Experience in following curriculum
• Classroom Management within a Diversified Classroom

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement lesson plans according to provided curriculum and state standards
• Promote a high standard of thinking skills in the STEM subjects
• Implement effective classroom management techniques to produce a healthy and inclusive learning environment
• Support students at various levels of competency
• Mentor and Tutor students in subjects such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Biology, and Chemistry.
• Assess the progress of each student and provide constructive feedback
• Serve as a Christian Leader in the classroom and throughout the school
• Display Christ-like Behavior at PCCA and in the community

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM Field from an Accredited college or university (required)

License/Certification

FDOE Certification Preferred

MSA, Apple, and/or ACSI Certification (preferred but not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
