Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans and ensuring that each child receives personalized attention to support their growth and learning.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Provide individualized support to children with special needs or varying learning abilities.
- Conduct assessments to monitor children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's development and address any concerns.
- Organize physical education activities that promote health and wellness among preschoolers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- 45 DCF In-service hours
- Experience working in a preschool setting is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management.
- Ability to provide toddler care with patience and understanding of developmental milestones.
- Familiarity with tutoring techniques for young learners is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred but not mandatory.
- CDA/FCCPC is a plus
