Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to inspire and educate students in various artistic disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art education and a commitment to fostering a love for the arts in students of all ages. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, facilitating hands-on art projects, and encouraging students to express their creativity while honing their artistic skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively design and implement a comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with educational standards.
• Teach various art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Assess student progress through projects, presentations, and portfolios, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate art into interdisciplinary lessons.
• Maintain an organized and well-stocked classroom with necessary supplies and materials.

Skills

• A degree in Art Education or a related field from a recognized university is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of various artistic techniques, styles, and mediums.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey concepts to students of varying skill levels.
• Ability to inspire creativity and critical thinking in students.
• Strong organizational skills for managing classroom activities and materials.
• Patience and adaptability to cater to diverse learning styles within the classroom environment.

Schedule:

• Mondays (Surprise) & Wednesdays (Goodyear), 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM
• Additional afternoon/evening hours available in the spring
