Job Title: Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Overview
The Steamboat Child Care Center is seeking dedicated and flexible substitute teachers to join our team. As a substitute teacher, you will support Early Childhood Teachers and Assistant Teachers with the education, supervision, and care of children at the Steamboat Child Care Center.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers and assistant teachers in providing a safe, healthy, and secure environment for children
- Perform daily child care duties including feeding, diapers/potty, and naps as assigned
- Help in other classrooms as needed
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements
- Maintain confidentiality
Requirements
- Willingness to train and adapt to new situations
- Knowledge of child development and commitment to staying up-to-date with current best practices
- Flexibility to care for children of all ages (birth-5 years)
- Ability to maintain professional communication with parents, supervisors, and other teaching professionals
Working Conditions
This position requires working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.
