What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Accounts Payable Specialist position at Steampunk?
Overview
Steampunk is hiring a part-time Junior Accounts Payable Specialist to work in our headquarters office in McLean, Virginia. The position will be responsible for reconciling Company Invoices and employee travel and expense reports. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the Accounting and Finance Department!
Contributions
- Monitoring our internal Service Desk for Employee expense reports and Credit Card Receipts, verifying, and reconciling them against the supporting documentation
- Ensuring that expense reports comply with internal policies and procedures
- Responding to employee questions about expense reports and policies
- Assisting Accounts Payable Specialist on other tasks during month-end close
- Must be able to work with month-end close deadlines
- This is a part-time role
Qualifications
- Knowledge of GSA Per Diem rules is a must
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills and SharePoint experience are required
- Government Contracting experience preferred
- Knowledge of Steampunk AP process is required
