STEAMspark is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Guides to support our mission of nurturing gifted learners through an engaging, STEAM-focused education. Substitute Guides play a vital role in maintaining a safe, productive, and nurturing environment for students when regular Guides are unavailable. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic learning environment.

We are looking for a Substitute Guide with the talent to enrich the learning environment with the STEAMspark curriculum, incorporating age-appropriate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics concepts.
Role and Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide students in their daily activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Implement lesson plans and activities in alignment with STEAMspark’s curriculum, adapting as needed for different age groups.
- Maintain classroom routines and procedures to support students' learning and engagement.
- Provide support during transitions, mealtimes, and outdoor activities, following school policies for safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents as required, promoting a collaborative and respectful school community.
- Monitor and report student progress, behavior, and any incidents to school administration.
- Uphold STEAMspark’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence in gifted education.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and maintain a structured environment.
- Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt to various classroom settings and student needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associates degree
- Existing AMI Credential or AMS Credential

Compensation
$17 - $22.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Physical Requirements
- Able to sit on the floor for presenting lessons.
- Able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Salary : $17 - $23
