With little or no supervision perform work that may be of considerable difficulty in the repair and maintenance of vehicles (gas and / or diesel) and equipment; performs related work as assigned. Must also perform duties of Fleet / Mobile Maintenance Mechanic.
Essential Job Functions :

- Prepare vehicles for proper operation (both gas and diesel vehicles)
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance (both gas and diesel vehicles)
- Performance testing & replacing or repairing defective vehicle components
- Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles (gas / diesel) equipment
- When required, prepares and maintains records and reports
- At times when “on call” and any other duty time MUST answer phones / emails / texts immediately and respond within the required ETA for the specific call.
- Ensure vehicles are safe and comply with the legal requirements
- Verify that work meets or exceeds company quality standards
- Expected to follow company policies as outlined in the company’s Employee Handbook
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record, including reporting to work on time.
- Work varying hours, including weekends and holidays
- Diagnose problems and make repairs in the field on a 24-hour basis
- Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Work extended hours out of doors in a variety of weather conditions
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports
- Problem solving
- Provide quality customer service at all times; responding to customer’s needs
- Exhibit sound and accurate judgment to support and explain reasoning for decisions; include appropriate people in decision making process
- Use of time efficiently and productively
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in keeping with company quality standards
