See our Benefits Overview. Position Objective To provide comprehensive clerical, technical, administrative, customer service and program support to the Department. This position is responsible for maintaining internal and external databases and media, compiling statistical data, developing and maintaining reports, coordinating meeting and training events, and organizing information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities These examples do not include all possible responsibilities in this position and do not limit the assignment of related duties to this classification.1. Designs and maintains internal and external internet sites to provide staff and the community access to current policies, documentation and other information.2. Responds to in-person and telephone inquiries and requests from the general public, employees, and clients that can be escalated or complex in nature.3. Manages, maintains records and receipts, reconciles statements and makes purchases with department purchasing cards.4. Organizes and manages schedules and calendars; coordinates conferences, trainings, and events; creates agendas and takes minutes for a variety of meetings.5. Proofs, verifies and reconciles invoices to ensure accuracy and enable tracking for budgeting purposes.6. Collects and compiles statistics for reports; designs reports and methods for compiling and tracking data.7. Researches, analyzes, and prepares County Board agenda items and presentations.8. Creates and maintains databases and spreadsheets using various software applications to provide accurate and timely information.9. Plans and coordinates conferences, training and events for internal staff and community members.10. Coordinates written communications for the division.11. Develops, maintains and trains staff on forms, templates and documents.12. Designs newsletters, flyers, and brochures; assists with the development and maintenance of educational material.13. Submits, tracks, and distributes items relating to supply orders, copy requests, and work orders.14. Attends training and meetings to maintain knowledge of policy, software and process changes.15. Attends work in a regular and timely manner.16. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Minimum QualificationsIn order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following: High School graduate or equivalentOne year of post-secondary education and two years of progressively related experience in administrative/office support; OR four years of progressively related experience in administrative/office supportExperience using Microsoft Office Suite or a similar softwarePreferred Experience Beyond Minimum Qualifications: Experience managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and responding to customer inquiriesExperience using technology and softwareExperience with process improvementDesirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities1. Knowledge of administrative and office practices, procedures, and technology.2. Knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.3. Knowledge of EDMS (Electronic Data Management System) principals and tools.4. Ability to organize and prioritize work and be detail oriented.5. Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.6. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.7.
