Position Objective
To greet park visitors, sell parking permits, and provide information on park facilities and programs in a manner that will create and maintain a favorable image of Stearns County Parks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Greet park visitors at gate entrance or assigned location.
2. Provides information on facilities and programs.
3. Sells seasonal and daily parking permits.
4. Follows procedures regarding cash handling and daily record keeping.
5. Prepares and processes daily deposits.
6. Records visitor use data and completes required forms.
7. Picks up trash at park entrance.
8. Issues tickets to vehicles without parking passes.
9. Attends work regularly and in a timely manner.
10. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Minimum Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or will be by May 2025
- Experience handling and collecting money
- Working with limited supervision
- Selling tickets/passes for admission to places

Work Environment and Physical Demands
The primary responsibilities for this position will be performed approximately 95% of the time indoors and approximately 5% of the time outdoors. Will have minimal exposure to health hazards and accidents; requires a low level of physical effort. All employees are required to reside within the state of Minnesota.
Extent of Supervision or Guidance Provided
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Parks Operations Coordinator.
Responsibility for Public Contact
Moderate.
Shifts available 7 days a week, 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
