Job Overview

Stech Group in Folsom, CA is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior IT Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for technology, security, and continuous improvement. The Senior IT Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing and enhancing IT systems, ensuring the security of our networks, and providing expert guidance on technology-related issues. The ideal candidate has a strong background in threat intelligence, vulnerability assessment, and continuous integration, along with hands-on experience in server management, scripting, and networking.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Analyze threat intelligence data to proactively strengthen security measures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous integration practices and enhance software development processes.
• Manage and maintain ESXi virtual environments for optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using XML for IT processes.
• Troubleshoot and optimize computer networking systems to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Utilize Linux systems for server management, application deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and manage Group Policy Objects (GPO) to enforce organization-wide security policies.
• Work with SQL databases to manage data integrity and optimize application performance.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, including quantum engineering, and assess their potential impact on the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5 years of experience in IT security, systems administration, or a related role.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, STIX/TAXII) and security best practices.
• 3 years of experience with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, Qualys, OpenVAS) and cybersecurity methodologies.
• Proficiency in XML scripting for automation.
• Familiarity with continuous integration (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible) and DevOps best practices.
• Hands-on experience managing and maintaining ESXi virtualized environments.
• Solid understanding of computer networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) for server and application management.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) within Windows environments.
• 2 years of experience working with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) for database management and query optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, VMware VCP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
