Demolition Laborer
As a Demolition Laborer at Steed Demo, you will be an essential part of our team, responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient execution of demolition projects. Your role will involve performing a variety of physical tasks on-site, working alongside skilled professionals to ensure that demolition activities are carried out safely and effectively.
This is a remote position with demolition work taking place in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kentucky.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in setting up and preparing the work site for demolition activities, including clearing debris and ensuring the area is safe.
- Material Removal: Safely remove and dispose of building materials, including concrete, wood, and metal, following all safety protocols.
- Equipment Operation: Operate various hand and power tools as directed, ensuring proper use and maintenance of all equipment.
- Support Crew: Work collaboratively with demolition supervisors and crew members to execute demolition plans, providing assistance where needed.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and practices on-site, participating in safety meetings and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Trash and Debris Management: Ensure that the work area is kept clean and organized during and after demolition activities.
- Reporting: Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or project-related issues to your supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or demolition labor is a plus, but not required; willing to train the right candidate.
