As the Yard Laborer at Power Drive Supply, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the operations of our user equipment dealership. Your contributions will help maintain a safe and organized yard while ensuring that equipment is handled efficiently. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on teamwork and innovation.

Key Responsibilities 

• Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while effectively managing multiple tasks.
• Independent Task Completion: Complete assigned tasks independently and in a timely manner based on a provided list.
• Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, SkyTrak, and other machinery to load and unload heavy equipment, assist with deliveries, and relocate equipment throughout the yard.
• Power Tool Proficiency: Use power tools to cut, drill, and fabricate materials as required for various projects.
• Assisting Mechanics: Collaborate with mechanics in servicing vehicles and equipment, including performing oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters, and brakes.
• Parts Acquisition: Drive company vehicles to obtain parts and supplies as needed.
• Maintenance and Painting: Power wash, prep, and paint various items of all sizes to ensure a clean and professional appearance.
• Grounds Maintenance: Perform regular grounds and landscaping maintenance tasks, such as mowing grass and tidying the yard.
• Safety Protocol Adherence: Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear as provided by the company.
• Additional Duties: Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor/management.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: 

• Must be able to climb, balance, bend, stretch, kneel, and squat.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work outdoors under various weather conditions.
• Must be able to work safely in noisy areas with potential odors.

Qualifications 

• Previous experience in a labor-intensive role or yard maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery safely; certification is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
